Serving Maryland & Delaware for over 50 years and for the future.

J. Marion Bryan and Sons, Inc., a local family owned company, established in 1949, is pleased to introduce ourselves to you for all your residential and commercial land improvement needs.

For over 57 years, the name Bryan has become concreted in the roots of the Delmarva Penninsula, growing from two employees, weathering recessions and market swings, becoming a 30 million dollar a year company with over 135 employees.

The company, now owned by Allen Bryan Jr. and Jason Bryan, sons of Allen Sr. and Billy, are the grandchildren of the founder J. Marion Bryan, who began his humble beginnings as a dirt farmer. In 1949, Marion Bryan began doing small earthwork projects to supplement his farming operation.

It was this inception that taught Marion Bryan's four sons and grandchildren the appreciation of land, knowledge of soils, and the determination to grow the family business. The oldest son Allen Sr. is now retired and is a local charter fishining Captain and hunting guide. The next son, Jimmy, for which the Building Dreams For Youth Foundation was created, served with the company for over 34 years until his passing. Jimmy held a BS degree in agronomy (soils study) which has proved invaluable to the business over the years. The third son, Billy, remains semi-active with the company as a consultant and in estimating/contract procurement. The fourth son, Kenny, held a degree in ornamental horticulture, operated nursery and landscape operations, until his unexpected death in 2004.
